Autumn is the time for funghi collecting, and these woodlands are very fruitful. Unfortunately we have no idea about the different types of funghi, and which are safe to eat.
Further up the hill, much of the land has requires a licence to collect, as many people come up from the towns to collect the funghi which can command high prices, particularly the Porcini mushrooms.
